It was too expensive just for 2 little bowls that weren’t even good.It was really dry and it was steam.I do not recommended

The food was horrible it was not what I was expecting at all will never eat here again I thought I was getting authentic fried rice and actually got white rice that was fried not good at all definitely does not recommend this restaurant

This was my favorite restaurant emphasis on WAS. They used to have the best sweet and sour chicken I ever tasted then they switched ownership. It was still good but wasn't the same. Then they switched AGAIN and now it's just bad, fried rice is just rice the chicken is soggy and the menu is 5 times smaller I only gave this a 2 star because the egg rolls are decent

Empress of China has the BEST Chinese food in Irving! I unfortunately moved outside of their delivery range but I STILL drive here just for their food. Love their veggie Lo Mein and veggie fried rice!

1st and last time delivery took over a hour sesame chicken was nasty it tasted old and reheated the egg drop soup was clear as water and the kung poa chicken was all bell pepper the only good thing was the lo mein but NOPE!!!

How can this place have a 4.0. I dont understand and I'm sure all these reviews were paid for. The food is horrible. Tastes burnt and they put in pieces of meat and fill the portions with burnt vegetables. And that short ribs for $18? My child could grill better tasting meat. I'm so angry and disappointed for spending 70 dollars on this restaurant. If your food is subpar at least reduce the prices. Just insane. Dont waste your time!!!

Been coming here for years. Dined in many times, usually order takeout 🥡 these days. Food is always tastes fresh since it’s always busy. Must try! You won’t be disappointed.

We enjoy hanging out. Last night we arrived in this delicious restaurant which we didn’t know before. We had a lovely time there with first-rate food and an experienced crew and a distinguished cook. We added this restaurant in our list and we will definitely go again very soon. We warmly recommend.

Surely a place worth visiting, the food is great and fresh, the costs are convenient and it is always neat here. Highly recommended.

Food isn’t so great. We bought from them based on all the good reviews only to disappointed once the food arrived and once we tasted it. I’ve ordered from many Chinese food restaurants and never have I had the Mongolian beef that they served. There was no sauce the meat was dry. It had very little flavor to it. Even my egg drop soup wasn’t so great. How do you mess up egg drop soup? It didn’t have any flavor. The rangoons tasted like pure cream cheese. The egg roll tasted like a load of oil and flour. First and last time unfortunately and we spent $40. Never again.

This place charges a mandatory tip. Went for a lunch special with my fiance and they decided to add a tip. Big parties, I understand. But not a lunch special with two people. You don't just decide as business to add whatever tip you feel is good for you. The manager, if you call her that, was nothing but rude about it saying you decided to come here. A tip should be left up to the customer. Will never eat here again, and will let other people know about how they handle customers and they don't care how they talk/act toward thier customers.

My goodness. I haven't been to empress of China in a while, been pretty busy. I do recommend it very much! From what I remember, very intimate atmosphere, dim lighting, and delectable cuisine. Very quiet place. Highly recommend the green tea ice cream!

Quiet at 2:45 on a Saturday afternoon in early January. The host seemed almost confused by my being there. He and the waitress were polite and efficient. The orange chicken was tasty as were the rice, soup and eggroll. I may eat here again if I'm close by and hungry but I will definitely be on the lookout for a place a bit more deserving a four star review.

I have been eating at this location for about 24 years. Everyone I have ever brought here loves it. It is, and always has been and will be, my favorite Chinese restaurant in Dallas/Ft. Worth. There is only 1 Chinese restaurant I put on the same level as this. And it is in Texas City, Texas. To be honest I give the nod to Empress. (Sorry Fortune) as long as they are in business i will be a customer.

Used to be my favorite Chinese place in all of Dallas. I however got some food close to when they were closing, and it made me absolutely sick as a dog. I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital. I don't know what happened, but I am never taking that chance again. Avoid this place at all costs.

I've been coming here for years. This is the first place that I had General Tso's chicken, and I still come here when I need a fix!

I been to this place few time and i always experienced the same problem that is the lady i think its a owner she is so mean she doesnt have manner to speak with customer. I order the food online and went to pick up food almost 20mins late than the given time but still the food wasnt ready i waited almost 15minutes and just to confirm if the food was ready i asked her if the food was ready? The reply i got from her i would never expect, she told me you dont have patience, u r patience less, u need to wait on to get the food, if you dont want to wait dnt order the food. Is that what one we are suppose to here as a customer? She was yelling at me and very aggressive. If i could give negative rating i would give her the lowest negative review..i recommend not to visit this place. Worst experieced ever.

Worst customer service. The lady humilated me spoke very rudely and was yelling at me. Very rude and poor manner. I will never get back. I won’t recommend this place.

We ate here for lunch today and it was great! We have been eating here her for a long time,even since I was a little boy with my parents. Now I get to take my own family here. The food is always so fresh and cooked how we like it. The customer service is always nice and they even know me and my kids by our first name. If you go,make sure to order the brocoli beef. Food and customer service is GREAT! HIGHLY suggest. I have read some of the other comments and they do not seem to be true at all. Don't always believe what you read. You don't even have to believe me. Just go in and try it. You won't be disappointed.

If i could give 0 star, one of the worst place to visit. As a customer u expect to be treated well but this place will give you hard time with bad behaviour.. even though if they give you wrong food or let you wait for long time, if u ask any question they will staft yelling at you and mistreat you. Will never get back to this place. Worst customer service and nasty food.

Worst place ever to order to go with. I thought the restaurant was pretty but to have en employee lie to her manager about me being rude was totally unexceptable and uneducated. I do not recommend this restaurant ever.

The food for take out is some of the best I have had here. The egg rolls are crispy and full!

Just ordered for the first time through DoorDash and it was very good. You get a lot of food for the price and it came hot too which was great. Definitely will get it again!

My family have been a loyal customers for over 30 years. I picked up dinner ladt night for my family and it was so awful we trashed the entire 60.00 meal! I dont know what happened to this place but never again!!!

Ordered chicken and broccoli and it was by far the most disgusting chinese food I've ever ever tasted.. broccoli looks like it's been sitting in a tray for hours.. even the pork fried rice is nasty smh superrrrrrrrrr disappointed!

I was a little skeptical about ordering from this place for the first time ever. I went through a few one star reviews so I had my doubts. Well, I've lived in Irving for 20 years and I really regret the fact that I don't know why I didn't decide to try this place BEFORE.I'm a big fan of asian food, I decided to go for with mongolian beef one of my favorites wich also, It's really hard to get it right... Well... they did. Delicious. The crispy duck and chow mein were great as well. I'm glad I've discovered this place! Will be ordering again pretty soon!!

Worst place ever if you want to eat or for Customer service. I was never waited on period. No water no nothing. Furthermore the person in heels who seated me took her time and did her books prior to even doing that. So then approximately 10 mins later she asked to take my order. Mind you no one had been there for drinks or anything else. I said politely no thanks.

I like to go with friends to this restaurant with my warmest recommendations. I visit this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the food there is yummy and the stuff is attentive and cooperative. Every time we eat in this place we enjoy a delightful time. I recommend this place with pleasure.

I recently had a worst experience in this restaurant. I went there for a pickup order recently and i believe the owner "lady" do not know how talk to the customers she was very rude and unprofessional. I simply asked how long will my food be ready after already waiting for it in car for 15 min. I was simply asking about the time for my order to be ready. She literally started yelling about me not having patience. The reaction for the owner was completely shocking. Not recommend..all because of the way the customer is treated. Pathetic

I really had a bad experience here at this place. The lady behind the counter i believe its the owner, she is very rude and has very aggressive behaviour, She came came to fight with me when i just asked how long it will take to get my food ready which i orded online after almost waiting for 30minutes after my arrival the food was nt ready. No never i wont go to this place ever again, i would rather stay hungry but will never go to this restaurant ever A BIG NO 👎 I was there to get the food but i got the misbehave and bad attitude, It wasn’t just me she was yelling at other customers too.. She doesnt gave manner to speak with the customer.. she will be losing all the customers.. I will never get back to this restaurant...

Very poor customer service, think twice before you go to this restaurant. They will mistreat you with bad attitude and rude behaviour. This will be my last time.. i'll never go to this restaurant again, Worst behaviour ever faced. They kept me waited for 30mins longer even after i place online order and even after waiting that long i asked her very politely how long will it take the lady started yelling at me.. very poor customer service... This place reminds me of the Chinese food back home in NY. The shrimp toast is excellent!

I did delivery. The credit card reader at the door was annoying and took forever. The egg drop soup had lettuce in it - what?! It was gross and I only had a few bites before I gave up. I will probably never order from here again.

Big servings very nice wait staff my server, Siya was so helpful and kind. I never had to “find her” she was always there when I wanted or even when I didn’t. I had Moo Goo Gai Pan and Crab Rangoo and I loved it. I have enough to take home for tomorrow lunch also. Atmosphere is quite which I absolutely loved. No loud music or people. Most definitely my new Chinese food place.

Very bad customer service and rude behavior. Took-forever to get the order and when asked for she replied back very arrogantly. Food was smelling bad and had to throw all away.
